My K20 EK9 project


Its only because I'm using roller ITBs that I have to use another system - the (DC5) PAS pump would foul on the ITBs and the alternator mount needs to be lowered slightly. I could have used a normal plenum but then I'd lose 15hp and a load of torque.

Pic here shows how they would foul on the PAS pump (this was my old car!)

can the car handle well with the k20?Any idea wats the weight diff btw the b16 and the k20?
 
How hard was it to fit the powersteering and what bits would i need to do it myself? I'm looking to put itb's on my k20 and after reading this i can't use my dc5 set up :S
 
Nice project man, ITB's look great , who did you get to make them up and what size are they? What power did your old engine make? Also what compression pistons you running, sorry for all the qs. haha just intrigued to know!
 
Dr Mikey IIRC used a modified MR2 powersteering pump that he could alter the weight on?

Cars are far better without p/s imo guys, more raw and better feel to the car without it!
 
Cheers guys i'll have a read up. I know people say that but i like my powersteering :)
