My J's Racing FN2 *Picture Heavy)

Hi Guys,

I've just joined the forum and dont have an EK9 (yet - really wanted the yellow one Duncan was selling but was too late) but am on the look out if anyone has a good standard one for sale? Here is the full spec of my FN2, mostly J's Racings parts have been used and its been in a couple of magazines here in the UK and one in the USA. Apart from a set of Buddyclub Seats that need fitting the car is more or less finished now.

Yeah thats me, my build thread is over on Civinfo.

I still think the Wing would look better with the Mugen rear bumper but I'm done spending on the FN now and want an EK9

A few places are now doing fake Mugen wings, grills etc. A few guys over on Civinfo have the wings and they look identical to the real one, but over half the price!

Never driven an EK9, always wanted one but they seem like such a lot of money for the year of car you get. Just going to bite the bullet though as I dont think there'll ever get any cheaper!

Thanks, I never intended to mod the car, but the FN2 in standard form is lacking in power and the brakes are just rubbish!

Thanks, the car's more or less done now. I've got a pair of Buddyclub recliners to go in and a Spoon TB and Inlet manifold to fit. Although the car made 250BHP on TDi North's dyno its really lacking in torque so I'm swapping the RRC inlet for a Spoon Sports Japan ported RSP to see if it helps the torque. Then thats it the car is 100% finished

Thanks doesnt surprise me, out of the box the FN2 is lardy! Going to keep the FN2 now, spent so much on it and with used values being really low its not worth selling. I've got an EP3 as well, same problem with that! Seems like the only expensive Type R is the EK9 and DC2.

I hate FN2's as other guys have said, but you may have just twisted my arm!!!

I've got these seats at home waiting to go in, then the plan is to try and enjoy the car as is, do a few track days and hopefully get back to Spa early next year

I never really like FN2 but until i saw one here in Hong Kong with similar body kit as your really changed my mind. The one i saw.here in HK with different rear bumper and it is in CW colour. You red FN2 reminding me the Mugen FD2 RR.
