Because they are made in the UK, and I guess the moulds are all the same to save costs, this was the first time Honda exported cars back to Japan that are made in Swindon.

are you saying the imports were made in swindon, sent to japan then back to the UK?

AFAIK, The JDM Honda Ep3 Type-R was built in the UK, sent to Japan where they did the engine etc and sold there. They have a UK flag next to the civic sign on them.

Correct!

My mate has a JDM EP3 that was supercharged. He now has the same plan as you with keeping it a clean example but with a few extras such as a Js racing exhaust etc.

There are quite a few in England!
