My EK9 RX

Thanks again for all the comments people.

Haven’t really got any good pics of the engine bay so spent a few hours cleaning the bay and underside of the bonnet tonight (Already spent several hours previously) and took a few new pics. Apologies there are no pics before I actually cleaned it to compare. Still a long way to go to get it as clean as I want though.

Nothing overly interesting as yet, just a J’s filter but hopefully not for much longer...

Cheers man, J’s intake massively improved throttle response and the car generally seems more lively (But I suppose that’s mainly due to the resonator being removed).

Sounds amazing and is very addictive. Probably going to sell it soon though and go for a spoon elbow on standard air box. :D

Just a small update really nothing major.

This turned up today which I had totally forgotten about!

Mugen number plate bolts :)

Also got myself some import sized plates (12x6) as I finally got my number plate registered on my car (Thanks to accessory zone for these).

Just out of interest, what did you use to clean the underside of the bonnet? then after did you polish/wax?

Cheers dude.

I tried a few different things on the underside of the bonnet but got best results with T-Cut! Seemed to cut through the muck better than some engine bay cleaner I had!

Thanks mate!

Yeh was a lot easier knowing how to strip it. To be fair it has crossed my mind and will more than likely be stripped at some point in the future.

Think im just going to keep my aircon to annoy you though lol.:)

oo wouldnt of thought to use that, think I have a bottle of it in the garage somewhere for when I come to do it. Probably will cut through the muck better with it being more 'aggressive' Cheers mate. :nice:

Bought some spoon strut braces (Thanks again to Dunx @ Fastjapcars for these) and decided to give them a bit of a polish. Really pleased with how they have turned out.

Sorry for the far from good pictures....

I have only fitted the front so far as I want to take my time cutting the holes for the rear strut and make sure it is as perfect as I can get it!

Also got a bride drivers seat rail at the same time which I love! Much prefer the lower driving position!

Nice car. I am a bit envious of you guys in the UK because it seems you guys have easier access to all those cool Type-R models that we here in the US can only dream about having...

beautiful car man very clean example :nice: certainly put in the cleaning time

God damn she's sexy!

Lovely work mate. Attention to detail and subtle mods make all the difference and it looks just... awesome!

Definately some inspiration right there!
