My ek4


Long time ago i've been here, so some updates on my car:
New engine :D
B16a + itr intake mani and everything what was on the previous engine.
and ofcourse video, later i'll upload and some pictures of my winter edition vehicle.

Hey mate liking your ride. apart from the winter wheels lol.
what are your thoughts on the B16 compared to the B16a2 i started out with an EK4 with the b16a2 and now got an EG6 jdm B16.
honestly its as if they are completely different engines i thought the b16a2 was pants after trying the b16a.
it now has cams and stuff so it ain't stock but wondered what you thought about it.

Hi,
since I have fitted this engine, i had lots of problems...
Firstly, i bought b16a bare engine (only head and block), so i've fitted my b16a2 intake mani, and dyno run showed, that this part wasn't perfect for this engine, with fully changed exhaust system and js' carbon intake i 've get only 174bhp with hood open...
Until i've changed intake mani, i liked my old one b16a2 more, much more(I think that my old b16a2 was the stongest stock engine in Lithuania, now it is resting in my garage :D), but after instaling new mani I have to admit, that this engine has a potencial :)
And about the winter wheels, i know that they are crap, but it is cheep, they are 14" and you car see in my video, that 14" winter wheels are not the best for drag :angry:
 
Looks good man your getting really good gains with your mods, got any engine bay pics?

Oh dear mate sorry to hear that.
well my B16a2 had a mugen twinloop on it and a J's racing intake also.
have no clue what it made power wise.
i got my self a stock Eg6 with a b16a put a cone filter on it and it felt so much stronger than the b16a2.
I've now got a blue EG6 with feels parts on it.
i reckon once you get some nice cams in their mate get them all timed in and i reckon you'l be very happy with it .
 
I know that great cams give a lot of horses, but they are nearly the most expensive thing... I had an offering of ITR cams, springs and retainers, but on that moment I couldn't afford them and it is like that now... :(
But one day, this engine will have cams and maybe something more :)
