Big thanks to Duncan for all his help and the backbox and to Jamie for the Dizzy and help and to Alan whos been looking after it for me and done all the work on it to get it prepared for the SVA which i may add the SVA tester said was one of the best test preperations he had ever seen :thanks:

Thats mint mate! maybe see you out and about soon - if you can ever find your way about the glasgow and lanarkshire area! lol

cool man! congratulations! :woot:

now to worry about insurance :nerv:

nice one! how soon were you able to get the sva test booked? my ek9 arrives friday in the uk and will be ready very soon depending on how quickly they can get an appointment :nerv:

i got one super fast, send off the payment, 2 days later they called me up and asked if i could come in the next day which i couldnt but they had a cancellation i got today :)

If yours is a 97 it dont need an sva test mate, but if its a 98 John will need to rent the model report from Duncan as hes the only one its available from, then book the sva etc

yeah mine is a 98 and John has already got the model report sorted, was just interested as to how busy sva centres are at the moment

hello folks

i am going to sound so stupid :angry2: but could anyone explain this sva and registration process as i have not got a clue.

if you buy your EK9 from a dealer will it be ready to go?

is it worth the money to do it yourself?

cheers

adam

if you buy your ek9 through some importing specialist then it will usually come with everything done for you ready to drive away, but any japanese import that is under 10 years old has to go through an esva test before it can be mot'd and tax'd and then registered
