my brother the warcraft retard!


That's terrible man. I've never had the patience for Wow, but I was addicted to like counter strike when I was younger. Managed to get ok grades in school haha! Then just grown out of playing games for long hours. Last summer I was on the ps3 a lot till like stupid hours.

I would hear my mum waking up for work and be like oh **** better sleep haha! Then waking up feeling like absolute ****. One thing I don't get is that my youngest brother still plays counter strike, with his study notes beside him and passing his exams with amazing grades. ******* geek lol. But I hope you are able to sort out stuff with your bro.
 
My bro used to play this till his account got hacked, he came downstairs once at midnight whilst I was watching tv and said "did I have dinner today?" and "I thought it was about 7pm".
 
rts is real time strategy.

It's sad how someone can waste so much time playing a game and be so disconnected from the things that matter.
At 24 he should be enjoying life to the full. He'll no doubt regret it in time.

Both my little brothers play too much COD, the eldest one is 16 and used to be really good at biking. Now he's fat and stays in his room all day, think the last time is saw him was Christmas.

A lad I work with plays WoW, he's a dick but I don't think the game made him that way.

Could you ask him next time you're at work? Just to clarify. I'd like to see his face when he's asked if playing a computer game made him such a dick lol.
 
^ I used to be into the old ps2 games. Mainly need for speed tbh but then I got a real car and never looked back.
 
I was addicted to a game called Runescape xD

Mainly the classic version. Also counter strike source. For me it was a phase, went onto cod and now i dont play any games tbh.

My addiction is my car, if i had a big enough warm garage id be in there all day lol

Just wait till he grows out of his, but make sure u tell your parents that hes wasting time hes not going to get back, and just regret it later in life.
 
South park episode : make love , not Warcraft. They take the piss out of this game and the players get him watch it.
 
I played it quite heavily whilst in sixth form, as a student with a fairly limited income paying a few quid a month to play a game seemed logical. Played it with a group of mates for maybe 2 years, all of us completely refused to even hint at the fact we played it outside of our houses mainly due to the stigma surrounding it.

After I finished sixth form and started earning a bit I got bored of it and sold my account, I managed to buy a civic and pay the insurance deposit (19 0ncb) from what I got for it so all in all it was pretty worth while! For me it was just something to do in the evening but like many things (alcohol, drugs) it has different effects on different people!
 
I don't really see the problem. Its just a hobby. Yes some people take their hobby's a bit extreme but its usually a phase and it should die off. Don't see how it any different to someone spending all their time reading or painting. Yeah he sounds like a slob but that's just part of his character. If your parents are happy to support him and is not like he is waiting ton's of money. Could be waiting his life smashed on drugs or drink living off benefits instead just like about 30% of the UK population.

I play a god amount of games when I get the chance, maybe a couple of hours a night. Have spent tones of hours playing the old GTA series while I was at school, still tuned out fine getting all my grades and on to be a qualified mechanic. I still play a fair amount on the likes of Skyrim, Forza, Halo but who doesn't. In this day and age playing video games is like reading a book or painting in your spare time. Yea he does it alot but he will soon get board as there is only so much life saticfaction you can get from a game.

Best thing would be to try and tease him away with some of the other things you know he might be intrested in what ever that may be. He will eventualy get alot more from doing stuff in reality than in a game. Soon enough he will be only playing games as and when he can be assed or has the time.
