hi everyone, ive got a mugen cold air intake system you no the one thats all enclosed. i was talking to a few people and they say yes they are good but you can get better. someone told me sell what you have and get, well i duno what it is but i have seen them on the j's racing intake you know where its carbon fibre and it goes bigger and smaller. i know its a cra explanation but thats all i know.

does anybody know what is better and what i should do??

Keep the Mugen and punch the person that told you to get rid, once in the face followed by a jab to the ribs.

Seriously though - J's racing is an open filter, engine bays are warm places - not sure how it can be as good as the Mugen.

x3.

The carbon element on the Mugen intake repels the heat and gives a better cold air feed (apparently).

It is a tough choice choosing an intake to suit your car and driving, but the Mugen one is deffinatly a good choice!!!

its just someone who races told me. he says because the ones that go in and out create like a vacum and forces the air into the intake manifold making a better intake. but i allways thought that the muge was better. but most of the time when u see honda's in japan they come with them intakes, so why wouldnt they put the mugen 1's on if they where better ???

Mugen!!! all the way, I have one and I love it.

think that is refered to as the venturi effect, but it works in the opposite way to the shape of the j's whale willy!! i wouldnt take your mates word for that one dude.

I want to give you and advice, you shouldn't take those opinions seriously, even here you'll see different opinions, what you have to do is do a research and find the better option, you're the one paying and is your money mate.

Mugen is a great intake, for me the best, also the comptech icebox is a good option, but for the price I'll go for the mugen.

Its your money, your car. If everyone here says that go for mugen, but if you like your engine bay with a j's racing intake, then buy a j's racing intake! :p

In my case, when I changed my ecu, everyone told me (not in this forum) that I was a idiot, that I bought a cheap ass computer for my car, everyone here runs apexi power fc ecu, well my cheap chipped p28 obd1 ecu performed very well, even right now I know someone that switched from the apexi power fc to a chipped p28 ecu just as the one I got :) like I told you, do a research, and then decide whats the best for your car and wallet! :)

keep the mugen who ever told you that are talking shite mugen FTW mate
