A friend is telling me that a MSD installation will give my B16B better spark and will ad some extra HP and torque.
He has it installed on his crx with a B16A engine.
His car go's faster then mine, I wanted to try something like this out.
MSD 6AL or Hi-6 Crane ign system.
I did search this forum for MSD and it seems like there is nothing about it here. I start thinking it will not work for the B16B.
Can someone confirm me about this?
I borrowed a MSD AL6, and try to install it. According to the instructions there are 4 wires going into the distribiutor. Orange and white attaching to the coil - and + and red and black to the distribiutor + and -
But when I did install it for a try, my car do not start up. My friend told me, I have to connect the wiring visa versa, what goes to coil put it to the distribiutor + and -.
Same thing, car do not start up. When I disconnect the MSD, it starts up normal.
There is a chip in my OBD2B distribiutor with 4 pins. 3 in a line and 1 with a L connector.
Can someone tell me which 2 of these 4 pins are the Negative and Positive for the MSD setup? My friend say's its the 2 which comes from the the coil - and + to the 4 pin chip. These are the 2 centre ones.
Can someone confirm this for me please?
