Modifying an exhaust to fit??

May be buying a type R backbox from an ep3 for my aerodeck,Only thing is the hangers are different,Just wondering has anyone modified a backbox to fit before & would it be worth while trying to ?
Just wanna know how handy it'll be before i buy it!

I just cut my twin back box made it into 1 re welded and moved hangers sounds and looks so much better worth the hastle I done right
