I need to know where the three wires coming from the map sensor on my b16b should be going. The three wires on mine go straight to the ecu but when I looked at my friends b16a2 the wire nearest the front of the car goes somewhere else. I will attach a pic of the map sensor so you a see the mess I am stuck with. The person who installed this engine was an ass!

Where on this harness should the three wire go if not somewhere else first.

omg, what a headache, where is bosniaCRX???? he should be a wiring expert by now :)

Where the hells all the stock wiring gone!!?

...check inside the Honda Map sensor plug (the bit on the manifold). The pins are labeled with V O G - for Voltage, signal and ground. With ignition on check you get 5V between the corresponding pins on the grey plug V & G. then you know power is good to the sensor... next check plug the grey connector back in to the map sensor and spread the insulation slightly on the wire so you can test voltage.... Check between O & G's (signal & ground) corresponding pins on the grey connector.... stock map will give 2.85v on a good connection.

is the car OBD2a or OBD2b??

I dont know, I need to know where the signal wire goes directly after the map sensor? And do the volts and ground wire go straight back to the ecu?

The signal wire 'O' on OBD2a goes to D3 on the factory wiring bit (not on adaptor harness). and on OBD2b it goes to C17.

Yes the voltage and ground go straight back to the ECU. You need to look at the civic manual and goe thruogh the wiring schematics and simply trace the two wires by that. OR look at somone eleses' civic/integra and look at wire colors at sensor then at ecu to figure out which pins they go into.

Could anyone upload a pic of where the signal wire 'O' goes to? If you could upload a pic of the engine bay so I can see what area, and a close up of the place it connects to after the map sensor. I cant see any markings on any of the connections so I will need to be shown. Thanks.

Tell me some things so I can help you out...
what year is the car and model?
is that the harness that came with the car?
is this UK or USA etc?
what ecu are you running it on?

Those wires shown will definitey need to be replaced as theres exposed parts.

Give me this info and Ill find the time to go through the charts and tell you exactly which pins you need to use on the ecu. :nice:

Its a 93 eg vti with a b16b engine and gearbox, its a uk car as far as i know, that is the ecu and harness that came with it, the loom on the car is a obd2 but I have a obd2 to obd1 conversion harness. I was told that everything came from a 98 ek9 but he didn't know if it was face/prefacelift. On the side of my ecu it says.
