Sorry for this, I've managed to finally get a hold of a civic ! I want to lower the car, just wondering whether Eibach springs would be fine on the standard shocks or whether I would need to get maybe EK/uprated ones? Sorry again if it has been mentioned before. Can't seem to find a definitive answer. I do want to lower the car for looks as well as for handling slightly.

I will try and get some pictures uploaded shortly! Any help would be much appreciated. It's a 1.4 sport facelift

I had my vti lowered on eibach springs, using the oem vti shocks without any problems. You only start to have bother when you go to 60mm lower and more. IIRC the eibach springs where supposed to be 30-45mm lower.

Would it be worth getting oem vti/ek shocks or would my standard shocks be fine? thanks for the reply btw

ive always found using 35mm eibach springs (or any for that matter) on the non-type R shocks gives a bouncy, rolly and generaly **** ride.

if you can get hold of some shockers like Koni, bilstein or even EK9 ones its definetly worth it.

^^ definitely worth it if he can. but the oem ones should be ok if he's tight for money/time.

Much appreciated! Il bear that in mind ! Either of you two got a set of shocks lying around fancy selling?

I have the eibachs 35mm springs on my jordan with standard shocks, the ride is perfect can barely feel its been lowered and handles quite well for what they are, nothing like a good set of coilovers but better than standard :) Have a look on my build thread it sits quite low! I would recommend them for the money, I will be upgraded to a good set of coilovers soon before I hit the track right enough.

Looks sweet! Thanks for the photo. You got 15's or 16's on there? You got the Eibachs on standard shocks?

Eibach's should be fine on standard shocks mate.. in fact with you probably wont need camber kits too to fix uneven wear, but somebody who's done this may be able to answer this a bit better for you.

I can get hold of KGB shocks, has anyone had these on their car and can tell me what sort of ride they experienced?

that was my vti on eibach springs and ek4 shocks. As you can see they do tend to lower the front more than the back. Ride was good, stiffer than oem but not bouncy at all, but i also had uprated arb and strut braces.

That is sat exactly how I would want mine to sit. Thanks for all the pictures everyone

Getting decent shocks and springs I'm looking at around £300ish.. Am I better off putting a bit more in and getting some decent coilovers?

I'm running Eibach lowering springs at the moment on my EK9, had various set-up's (oem, honda access adjustable shocks and lowering springs, meister r coilovers...) and I really like the way that the car rides and absorbs up the rubbish uk roads.

I'm removing my Eibach lowering springs in the next week, only ben on since Oct 2012, which will be for sale in your still interested in lowering springs.
