Hey everyone hope all is well! Just wondering if anyone knows anything about lowered seat rails? I had a dc5 before my ek9 and the seats in the Ek9 feel higher, I've heard that you can get lowered rails but the only ones I can find bolt onto the sides of the seat, any help would be much appreciated thanks Nik :please:

Hey buddy, I have the original Spoon Sports lowered rails bolted to my standard Recaros and they alter the height a fair bit from standard. Have a look at K's Circuits For Sale thread as he has a drivers side Feels lowered seat rail for sale:

Supposedly the Feels units are the lowest rails that were available for the standard Recaro seats in an EK9. They also lock on both rails rather on only one side like my V1 Spoons. I'm pretty sure that Bride MO Rails bolt up to the Recaros. These too are a little lower than standard but not as much as the Feels ones.

Both of my seat rails are Spoon, the drivers side is V1 which as markleavey said only locks on one side, which is not that great tbh. This one was in my car when I got it, I am 6 feet tall and it feels awesome. Then I picked up another Spoon seat rail on flEbay for my other seat about a year ago, directly from spoon sports europe for £70 which I think was a bit of a bargain, you may have to pay more for a used one or you can wait it out like I did. This time it was the newer current version, which is completely different from the version 1. It does lock on both sides and it sits ever so slightly higher. Both V1 and V2 Spoon rails are lighter than the OEM rails, V1 is the lighter one tho (as it is much simpler in design). If I could choose I would go for the V2, it only sits marginally higher (you would not notice the difference unless pointed out in my car tbh) and it feels a lot more solid. Hope you find your rails soon!

I have Recaro lower seat rail on my driver side, all one piece. I paid 5000 Yen for it. I also have Bride lower seat rails, these are a two piece design for their bucket/race seats.

Also, I check this site every now and then to see whats out there and compare prices. It is Japanese and I don't think they ship worldwide. So you may need to find someone to make the purchases/translate for you.
