Why's nobody mentioned removing the sound-deadening?

As well as that, remove pretty much anything you don't want to keep. ABS, Power Steering, Air Con, interior etc. Light weight wheels will make a big difference, they're the best thing I've done so far!

9's don't have sound deadening lol

My exhaust is aluminium, weighs nothing. I replaced the 9kg Mugen twin loop with a 2kg alum silencer. the stock exhaust was really heavy, Now my whole exhaust with 2 silencers and all the clamps weighs 7kg.
