So i do mainly some road driving and i will be going to the track a couple of times this year.

I was thinking of getting 205/50/15 of Azenis RT-615K

Now I don't want them to wear out too fast especially on the road, I want them to last a little bit. Now I heard that they do wear fast but I was also told that this new tire has a new compound to them? Does that make them last longer?

Does anymore know?

Thanks

The r888 would be too soft for dangles requirements

Also i have fitted yoko AD08's and im very impressed with these however i dont know if these are available in your tyre size and nor do i know how long they last as have only done 1000 miles so far.

Personally i would stick with 2 best Tyres that i know for that are excellent on the road and on the track, their 2 very well known tyres as well.........

Toyo Proxes T1R's
Yokohama Parada Spec 2's

You can't go far wrong with either of those really.
I have personal experience with the Toyo's and have talked to many people, and had a fair few friends who have run/are running Spec 2's, both are very good.

The only pro's and cons really are the Toyo's are much better in the wet than the Spec 2's as they get a little skittish when theres alot of surface water about, but the Toyo's never seem to like "damp" roads, they cope well with lots of water, but their not fussed on damp surfaces.

Either way awesome tyres, easily the best for fast road/track i would say, and also the easier of all the tyres to actually buy as well.

As said Toyo R888's ware out like a motherf*cker and Yoko A048's i have no experience of but have herd their good for track. Again i would say these would ware out much quicker unless they were hard compound of some sort.

I picked up a set of falken ze912 quite good so far :)

The new Azenis compound just makes them grip harder, they have the same wear rating of 200, which is good.

This tire test-http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/articles/top-tires/
says that the RT-615 K really drops off in hotter climates and extended track outings, but is nonetheless a really great tire.

The Hankook RS-3 would be my choice. Couldn't go wrong with the Kuhmo XS either, more sizes available than the Hankook.

I have used the Toyo T1R (not in the class of the 200 wear rating tires though) and I don't like it's squishy 1 polyester ply sidewalls. For a street tire that's still track worthy and in the wear range of 300, like the T1-R, I would use the BFG G-Force KDW-2.
