Hello everyone. sorry for the noob or stupid question but i have a 99 ek hatch and want the civic type r interior bad. Was there ever a lhd version? if so where can i get the parts from??

There was never a "oem" lhd ek9, however I've seen perfect lhd conversions in:

Peru
Dominican republic
Indonesia

I really wonder how they get the lhd dashboard, I think they buy direct lhd conversion kits from japan.

I've also see that they paint lhd usdm grey interiors and they look almost identical to ek9 ones.

Oh ok. Where would i take my dash to get painted black like the ek9?

i would just buy the type r bits you need such as the centre console, steering wheels and dails. Then get your lhd dash out and get it all die'd black, finish would be alot better than if it was painted and it cant wear off. :nice:

Wish I could get ahold of user "JDM 101". He has a LHD version of the ek9. I want to know where he got his black LHD dash from....

If you need the black dashboard just take the ek4 one it's black as the ek9 one.
Then you have to take an ek9 cluster and the ek9 center console (that you have to fit because it's made for the rhd dash)
:nice:

ek4 is rhd, he is looking for lhd dash. imo best bet is to stain or die it.

In Latin America the EK4 is called Civic VTI from local honda dealers which all of them where LHD...

I wonder if the USA (USDM) 99-00 Civic si has gray or black interior..

So the user needs to find civic vti 99-2000 interior, here are photos of one I saw for sale in my country:

Part # for that ashtray delete piece? I've been looking all over the internet for that thing. Also why wont it fit a rhd unit?

id rather have rhd then LHD..u might be able to get from the States but not sure how much it would cost to have it shipped.

Thanks for this! Now I need to find one of these... I'm guessing that it's gonna be really hard to find in the US... Probably will have to have it shipped.

If anyone has a beat on where I can get one, or someone that can help me get one I'd really appreciate it! If you take a look at my journal, you'll see that the dash is the last piece in my interior that is not spot on for my lhd interior...
