Leon - OEM/Spoon

Got my parts back from the painter. Mirrors, wing and the mugen lip. Looks really good. Need to get the badge back on and tonight putting the mirrors back together.

How much left till the engine is running then dude?

You keeping the standard airbox?

Well it is running now. Started the engine yesterday in the evening. Going to do some testing tomorrow. No license plates of course, still need to get the paper work done. But living on the country side makes it easy to drive around a bit without getting noticed.

I need to decide what I'm going to do with the exhaust next. It's loud. It's all open up to the back box. Maybe a cat would help a bit.

Need to adjust the timing, set the valves? (if that is the correct way to say this in english)

Phonecamera vid. Tomorrow if the weather is good I'll try to get some decent video or pictures.

Completely cleaned/polished the car with Meguiars.

In fairness the standard airbox is really good. Most aftermarket intakes just make a different noise and bring colour etc. to the engine bay.

It's all noise, I have a carbon intake on the other EG, but you don't notice it, just sound. I like how the stock airbox looks, and with a new K&N filter I think it should work just fine.

Had one of the better weekends in weeks. A mate of mine came over to help me out a bit. And of course he knew what was going on, and what the plan was for the end of the day lol

At 8.30 I was at the Honda dealer to get me a new battery, the other one was dead.

Started doing the valve adjusting at around 10.00. When that was all done we checked if everything was tightened. Checked the fluids again just to make sure.

At around 15.00 it was about time to see if it all worked.

The best thing about living on the country side is the space, and the fact that there is almost no traffic.

I'm starting to like the sound of the exhaust more and more. Love the way the recaro's sit, best thing I bought so far (besides the B16  )

First me and my mate took it out, just testing the waters, seeing how it felt, listening for any weird sounds. And of course getting the temperature right.

I was very happy to find out that the gearbox was okay. No weird things going on.

In the next clip it is my dad behind the wheel and my younger brother is filming

Love the sound of the exhaust when it hits the vtec.

Only drove it for around 20 minutes or so.

Took it back on the driveway for a few pictures, these came out the best.

And some ''updates'' for the rex.

Brand new tail lights. Took me a while to get it complete, a year actually, but couldn't be happier.

Having some small issues with the EG. I can't get the CO2 below the 0.5% for the MOT. Keeps on going up to 4 to 5%. Installed the OEM cat, replaced the lambda and some other small things. Even changed the JDM ecu for a EDM one.

But this friday I'm taking it to the inspection anyways. This is for getting a license (import from Belgium). So I don't have to get an MOT there, just some paperwork.

I think it might be because of the engine sitting still a long time (over a year). And also half a tank of fuel from over a year.

Did manage to get some wheels. Volk Racing/Rays GR-N. Ugly as hell up close, but of course that will be fixed.

After I got back I started on the GR-N's. Took one apart yesterday, and today two more. In between I did some other things. Like taking the other GR-N's from the CRX and fit them to the EG.

And also decided I want to get the side moldings on. So will be sticking these on tomorrow, instead of double sided tape lol

And an interior pic, needs some details, but all in all it's getting close to ''finished''

Small update, but a big one money wise, these things are expensive. But it was bugging me since the beginning. Was thinking about painting them, but the rubber window scraper was worn out as well. So bought them new.

Also cleaned up the B pillar for the looks

New OEM floor mats. Found these in the US. Nice quality and of course perfect fitment.

I actually drove the CRX today after 6 weeks. For about 4 miles :p. It was dirty/dusty already so I figured what the ... Got back and washed it right away, also washed my Civic, which is almost ''finished'' now as well.

Thanks mate, CRX is stock (D16) and keeping it that way, engine has only done 78.000 miles so. A lot of time and money has been spent on that as well, to keep it as original as possible, but with some OEM extras

Engine is painted with VHT high temp engine paint. Looks like new :D
