Hey Guys...
Just thought I would write a little bit on myself and a friends experience at a "Thrills" Racing Experience at Knockhill the other day !
We started off with the usual safety breifing etc - got geared up then we were made familiar with their BRAND New 58 Plate Seat Leon Cupra's. After being shown all the gears etc we set off for 4 laps of the full track.. Getting into the car etc I wasnt expecting to be suprised by the leon as my ek9 daily drive is fully stripped 240 bhp stroked.
So off we went, nice smooth brand new gearbox, the front seats are also awsome, hold you in soo tight !!! - Into the first corner at a nice controlled speed having all the lines and braking points explained, didnt really have the chance to test the leon's performance on the 1st lap - however it felt very very torquey coming out of the bends.. So into the real radio hairpin I go, smoothly out in 3rd gear and the instructor tells me to floor it up the home straight !! - I dont know if anyone here has driven knockhill before but coming out of the corner and up the hills is very steep and alot of n/a cars may struggle - however with the leon's turbo and gearset-up the thing flew up the straight !! Seriously impressed !! - Now my instructed gives me the full talk through into the first corner, he simple says head for that cone and keep it nailed in 3rd !! And wow can the leon handle - with its ESP and great steering set-up the corner is simply gone in seconds !! - I am very impressed with the Leon and would highly reccomend people to have a go with them at knockhill !!!
So after my 4 laps it was my turn to go out with a female TOURING car driver !!!! OMG !!! haha - Sabine from Nuburgring watch this space - she was simply no other words to describe it mental !! - Apex's were getting hit left right and centre, Leon on 2 wheels, ive been in friends 400hp pulsars around country roads and never been so scared !! haha.. Awsome !!!
So after that nail biting experience we were let loose in the Single seater honda bike engine powered f3000 cars !! - lol button gearshift, no abs, rear wheel drive !! Scary !! haha - the first corner and the hairpin are defo the worst to take in the single seater - the reason being the brakes on the single seater are nothing near as good as the Leon's so you find yourself overshooting at a crazy speed with the rear end off the bike powered bit of fibreglass sliding and skipping mad !! lol

It was an awsome experience and would reccomend it to any enthusiast !! - Also the legend cars look mental aswell - Yamaha 1250 powered mini hold rod style things with a crash box ! Rear wheel drive and sound crazy !!
