So I was reading on the H-T forums and came across someone who said that the CTR's had a "Kaaz" differential option. Does anyone know anything about this? I've been looking into it.....haven't found much.

It's not as if it's an option from the factory........

But yes there is a company Kaaz who make a 1.5 way plated differential to fit either the S4C or S80 gearboxes

Expect to pay about £500-£600 for one

Plate type diffs really transform the car, i run a Spoon 1.5 way plate diff and it's fantastic, however not advised for a day to day car as they are snatchy as hell and require frequent oil changes etc. however on a car that sees a lot of track/fast road use, spot on :nice:

Viscous is the older style of Honda diff, helical is what comes in the Type R B series. A viscous diff is completely different to a 1.5 way plate diff. Plate diffs are awesome, make a huge difference to the car.

Spoon and Kaaz are exactly the same.

They're NOT exactly the same

Few of my mates run Kaaz diffs and they are not as aggressive as a Spoon, i run a spoon diff as does a mate in his 96 and they are more aggressive, feels like it's going to rip your arms up if you accelerate hard out of t-junctions

good feedback. Mates with OS Giken Super Lock?

Difference between Spoon and KaAz will probably be caused by the initial lock ratio setting of both diffs. KaAz is a little driver-friendly setup than Spoon.
