Just bought an EK9 - Need some info please

Hey guys im from Scotland and just bought and EK9 yesterday. Many thanks to John from Tegiwa Imports.

Its a 1998 Championship White Facelift EK9 Type R :woot:

It needs some work done to it but heres a pic for you.

This is my first Honda and experience of VTEC and already addicted lol

However can some of you guys answer these simple questions for me please.

1) I need to change the timing belt can I just buy one from Honda for a UK DC2?
2) What kind of oil should I fill the B16b with ?
3) Will an oil filter for a UK DC2 also be ok for the CTR ?
4) How much would I be looking at to buy the side decals that say "Civic Type R" and both Red H badges from Honda ?

Sorry for the n00b questions and would appreciate if you could help me out.

1) yes exactly same part as UK DC2 ( i have done it on mine, 100% correct)
2) theres an sticky oil thread in the engine section
3)yes exactly the same, Honda now days uses almost same filter for most applications
4)I have looked decals are like 20 quid each!! and badges same price...

Recaro's are too heavy lol
 
Firstly nice car mate :nice:

1)the timing belt you want is from honda and the part no:14400-p72-014
2)the oil tom at TGM recomends in an ek9 is 10-40 castrol magntex
3)a vti/dc2 oil filter are the same as the b16b oil filter
4)£34 each for side type r decals, £29 for rear type decal,£35 for the red front H badge,£28 for the red rear H badge (i priced all these recently at honda) you can get the red H badges on e bay but they might be fakes
 
Nice EK! had to replace my side-type-r stickers also and bought them directly in Yokohama at a Honda dealer:

Honda Officcial Spare-part number is (left side, think the right is the same nr.):
"75773-S03-Z00ZA"
