hey guys, i have an ej6 that i'm working on converting to an ek9, and i think first up on the docket is the 5-lug conversion so that i can take my snow tires off and buy some rubber that grips. i am in canada, so getting parts is kind of tricky...but i understand that i can just throw the itr discs onto my civic and they should bolt on no problem? is this true? is there anything else i need to know about the 5-lug install, as it will be switching 2 disc / 2 drum to discs all the way round? should i try to just get ctr brakes, or just go with the itr ones? any help would be appreciated. thanks, guys!

As far as I know the dc2 and ek9 use the same brakes, so doesn't matter which you go for. However I think it is somewhat more complex than just bolting the discs on, I think you need a fair amount of teg parts to do the conversion. But I'm no way an expert in these matters, wait until Blinx or one of the serious guys gives you an answer; there's probably a thread about it somewhere on the forum.

you`ll need the brake pump as well and the the hubs as a whole to have a complete conversion.

They use the same brakes, if the dc2 is the integra type r 98 spec, the dc2 96 spec brakes are different.

you should also order the EM1(99-00) Si brake prop valve. The American Si did not have ABS like the Canadian SiRs did.

If you do come across a cheap 4040 prop valve from a Canadian SiR, you can plug the ports that are not in use too.

I would also upgrade the front lower control arms to SiR units and get the front sway bar as well. USDM ITR and CTR are identical in terms of the rear trailing arms and front knuckles.

contrary to popular belief ALL 96-00 honda civic hatchback sold in USA had the same prop valve as the 99/00 SI. so you can get any of those :nice:

You do know that you need to change all the hubs including rear trailing arms right????

I guess it's a case of us Canadians getting shafted again... thanks for clearing that up blinx
