ITR brac on Ek

Does anyone know if the ITR rear trunk brace which looks like this

1j880k


would fit on the 99-00 ek hatch?

I dont think this will "bolt up" with out modifications.
 
This is bar make the same work that ek9 have behind rear bumper.

Pointless mod

It was fitted to the integra to strengthen the rear end in case of a crash and weighs an absolute tonne

If you have a decent rear strut brace fitted there is no need for additional bracing further back in the inside of the car

how in the hell does it weigh a ton? it weighs less than a stock Si/CTR front strut bar

and its a Chassis brace, not a crash bar. go look at the damn picture.
and its not a pointless mod, if it come as a stock Chassis brace on the ITR then it was done for a reason

I'm with Steven. Stupid mod imo especially when an EK9 crash bar does exactly the same without the need for a drill.

Edit: And actually the CTR came with the option of a lightweight crashbar on the front as well as the larger, more common, version.

i have the CTR front crash bar, and how does the rear crash bar do the same thing as a Chassis brace?
 
Read into it

It was fitted to the integra to improve safety in a rear end crash

What exactly would it be bracing where it is fitted? The EK9 rear bumper bar joins the rear chassis legs so yes it is effective, however bracing the rear boot latch? Don't think so

If you have a rear strut brace joining the rear strut tops that is more than adequate, in the same way that fitting a c-pillar bar is a waste of time, unnecesary weight

And yes they do weigh a tonne, i have lifted one before that came out of a UKDM ITR, guess what, it was removed for weight saving and the fact it had no merit of being fitted to the car

I can 100% guarantee you will not notice a difference in handling with this fitted.
