all ek9 head lights are alot darker and a greyish chrome where normal lights are very silver chrome

and the difference between pre and facelift it is best to look at the ends,

trying to think how to describe

if you look at my 9 you can see the lights are darker and where the light meets the wing is very rounded and the same where it meets the grill

and now if you look at my friends ek4 you can see they are very silver in colour and the edges are sharper where it meets the grill and where it meets the wing it is very straight almost a right angle

From the pictures above it seems the bst way to tell it the side light.

Pre-facelift = Rounded edged moulding of the side light.
facelift = sharp straight line moulding of sidelight...

IMO this is the best way to tell from the pics above.

am i right in saying the is a part of the light that sticks out on the facelift lights ?

Hi lads probs a stupid question but I carnt tell lol is this a prefacelift ek9 headlight?

Definately not a 9. dont think its a prefacelift uk either cos the bulb shroud is not inside the housing as far as i can tell, may poss be an sir coz i think the jap 9s and sirs ive seen dont have the bulb shroud inside.
