is the S80 housing same as S4C bell housing?

quick question.. i know a guy thats selling a 96 spec s80 box cheap, because the car was in an accident and the front mount was snapped off. i have an S4C box from an ek4 sitting there with bust bearings that was planing to rebuild at some stage. will the S4C housing be the same as the S80 if i just swap them around?
 
I would have thought so mate,
Seen as each box is fitted to the same block, with the majority of the same parts inside.
 
Yes it will fit. Make sure that the diff and crownwheel clear the casing and don’t foul it. Sometimes these need to be shaved slightly to accommodate the difference between non LSD and LSD boxes.
