is my engine ok ?

Hey i have an 1.4 16v civic d14a4 this is the 2nd civic ive had it seems when i drive this one and get up to 4000rpm the engine seems to roar my old civic never done this ive just had the car fully serviced but its still the same the engine is bone dry no oil leaks or black reak coming out the exhaust it has 115k on the clock is this really high ?apart from this it drives great starts first turn everytime anyone have any ideas thanks ?

is it the engine roaring or cud it be bearings in your gearbox??

my friend used to get a noise in his coupe at bout 3000 , almost sounded like vtec or similar and it ended up bein box bearings.

when itr happens again press in the clutch and see if its still there!

Ill give it a try 2night and see how i get on but it seems like its the engine its just when i hit about 4000rpm it roars lyk hell

and make sure exhaust isn blowing out etc..

cause its unusaul problem if the engine all of sudden roars
