Just found out the hard way that the majority of insurance companies dont accept your no claims bonus if you haven't been insured for over 2 years and what really takes the p!ss is my policy was taken out 9 days after my 2 year break! I was a named driver for 2 years so i was still driving but didnt have my own policy

I took out a policy for £300 a year but noticed they had been taking double the amount due to the NCB not being valid so im now paying over £600 a year for a 2000 1.4 civic, dread to think what id be quoted for my 1.6 sir import

Does anyone know of companies that accept NCB after 2 years without being insured? Ive found one so far and that was co op but im sure there are more out there

Ive got proof of 3 years NCB even though im sure its more like 5 or 6 years but cant prove that just yet

Thanks

Try flux direct for your sir i got mine on a classic car policy and its a very good price

il give them a try cheers

just done 2 different quotes using some comparison sites and the best ive found is £411/year for a 2000 1.4 EJ civic and £335/year for my 1993 SIR 1.6 import, not guna complain but that makes no sense to me at all :))

That was both with 0 NCB and the only thing i changed was the car. Even tried it with 4 years NCB and was only saving £70 so dont feel so p!ssed off with loosing all my NCB now
