IMPORTANT!! Anyone in IRELAND

Hi lads, woke up this morning at 5am by my alarm, looked out the window and two lads were trying to break into my 9! :( My dad woke up too so we ran down the stairs but as soon as we opened the front door they legged it out from the drive and into a black car(couldnt make out what type or reg)! They left two horrible marks from where they tried to open the door!
But this is one of the first nights i havent boxed the car in! People have told me there watching houses! Iv heard from mates that a lot of cars are being stolen in Ireland! One other lads SiR was stolen! An a black audi s4 was stolen around the corner from me all recently!

I just want to give everyone a heads up! Its getting more and more common now and its horrible to have done! and im sure it would of been so much worse if they got my car!

bloody hell they seem to be going for type r's the now especially in ireland thats a good few in the last couple months !!

Ye i know! Its on the rise big time which is worrying! Im suprised they tried to break in, i mean everyone who owns a EK9 always has a serious alarm! Just got word there that a black accord has been spotted around a few break ins!
 
thank god they didnt take your car, I always sleep with one eye open....... paranoia setting in
 
**** sake cant have nothin nice in this country without some **** tryin to steal it well if i caught them at it theyd never walk again that id promise
 
Sorry to hear about this.

Seems to be happening everywhere atm with ek9's..........someone tried to break into mine whilst I was storing it in my sisters underground secure car park (code required to get in/out).

Just need to be thankful they didnt actually manage to steal it.

I know bud, ye looks like they will do anything to get them these days! They are such a demand for EK9 and parts thats why there targerted!

Has anyone heard of a device that car jackers now use which can de-activate any alarm? One of my mates was saying it to me! is this true? if it is its very worrying :(
 
so many scaffy prxxks around right now :( its a sad day when u cant leave ur car outside in ur drive without the fear of someone stealing it :(

Thanks, ye its notorious for car robbing in NI! So do i pal!

so many scaffy prxxks around right now its a sad day when u cant leave ur car outside in ur drive without the fear of someone stealing it

Out of curiousity have you just bought the car? any alarm? if you do what alarm and was it fitted recently?

I have the car 6months or so! Ye i have a serious alarm dont want to say specifically what one! Thats what saved me!

Thanks bud! Ye i hope they cant de-activate all alarms! There wont be a need for them soon enough by the look of things! Im nearly thinking of buying a wheel clamp! Just keep you 9 boxed in and they wont go near it! Best of luck with your car :)
 
Its such a shame but Ireland is so bad for this. LAst time I was there I was riding round on my BMX, and no ****, kids were actualy scoping me out waiting for me to leave it somewhere so they could steal it. I was in dublin. Full to the brim of pikeys. I was on a bus home from a party on sunday morning, and a junkie started speaking to me, then before I knew it he was smoking heroin ON THE FUKCIN BUS! I have heard of more than a few cars being stolen over there.


I wont be going back over there for a while.
