Good day to all.

Im quite new to honda cars. Hope i can pick up a thing or two from you Type R bros here.

Im was using a 4.4FD tranny with modified lsd previously. Both my wheels turn in the same direction when I jack up my car and just rotate the wheels.

However, i blew my LSD last week, since then i have gotton a replacement for it.

The replacement tranny is a DC2 96' 4.4 FD with LSD.

Now when i jack it up to spin the wheels, the wheels spin in opposite directions! However if i lock one of them, the other will not be able to rotate at all.

What does all this mean? Do i still have LSD now? or the bugger that sold me the tranny actually removed the LSD and replaced it with a Stock EK FD without LSD?

the only way I know to check is if you look through the trans where the axles go, if you can see through it you have LSD, if its blocked you have an open diff.

ok thats a little comforting.

Mine is see thru...

Any other opinions?

Does your wheels spin in the same direction?

if its see through its LSD im 100% sure :nice: plus you can tell when you drive the car, if you trip second gear with LSD it will hop or leap forward, without it just pulls to one side.

maybe the LSD is giving up? is a old transmision.
