I really want to import a type- r civic from japan to the USA can anyone help out with info on how to or businesses that do it? Please help

OK does anyone have one for sale already here in the USA then

What state are you in? Because if your from California, and your not a millionare, then forget about it.

No emissions here so I figure u it might be a little easier

that is the least of the problems.......the biggest issue is try to register the car under your name. it doesn't matter how you do it if the car is not 25 years old (classic) it can't be register and yes i know there is people out there with original RHD cars but all of them have been done under the table "if you know what i mean"

OK I get that but if there are ppl out there with it already done under the table the can sell them and then I should be able to register it right?

So what if I bought a ctr and chopped it up and put all the parts and front clip on a USA civic can I reg it then

What i meant on my last post was that there is people with real RHD cars already registered but they either know somebody at the DMV or they are number jobs...
But yeah if you can buy one already here or import one from uk or japan and take all the parts that would be the best thing to do...

Buy a EK9 from Canada, register it as a kit car. This is what most people with gray market cars do.

I thought of all counties the US it would have been the easiest place to import a car into. Are there restrictions all on Japanese cars?

In order to register any foreing car with no problems the car has to be 25 years or older
And the main problem is that there is no crash records, emissions test etc,etc for those cars here in the states...
