bolt them in....i think its a direct bolt in with only one bolt not fitting.

best of luck

Hi tkx for quik responce... :)
However a direct swap was the first thing i tried as soon as i got them bak in Dec '06...
Ive heard something along the lines of replacing the exsisting rails on the ek seat onto typeR recaro's.
However i was wondering if there is an alternative way as bolts on ek should be the same to the ones onthe ek9 (pls correct me if iam wrong!):thanks:

you can buy and alternative for the typeR recaros rails, for example, sparco makes rails + sliders , that are compatible with recaro, bride, etc, and in the USA you can find other cheap brands.

Can you measure the seats and post some photos? i can measure my recaro seat rails too see if they will fit, let me know. :nice:

Hi, as MR_Se7en firstly mentioned @ begining of Thread best way to mount EP R's seats on ek is to re-allocate the front screw holes on bar provided, and re-locate 1 bolt on back.

As replacing the rails on EP seats is almost impossible without spoiling them.

Hope to fit them as soon as i hve the time. I will place couple pics of cool upgrade...

no pain no gain! thats wot they say!...

got me boss (father) to help me out with the fittment of the new typeR EP3 recaros for my ek4...
he modified all bolt fixings on the new seats except the rear inner bolt. used the stock ek4 seat holes by welding them onto the rails of the new seats... hving to raise the other rear bolt attachment by 6mm.

after having them put away for a long time they now sit beautifuly on my ek...:lock:

[below] sme pics of the installation & final thing. excuse the image quality as it was taken frm phone cam...

errr, are you sure those are genuine EP3 recaros?

but EP3 CTR use recaros and should look like this...

vtecroadhogs right JDM EP3's got the nice red recaro's but UKDM one's got the seats at the top of the first post with TYPE R stiched into the seat.....for extra cost from new you could also have the seats in full leather from honda

Does the EP3 ctr in aussie have recaro seats to?

the jap models only come in white and are an extra 20 bhp than the uk models which come in the rest of the colours

nah, no CTR's ever in AUS. The only one thats ever sold here is the latest FN2 CTR. EK9 and EP3 are only privately imported with AUS laws... :blabla:

I just thought that EP3 would have had the same chairs as DC5Rs.
