hi all
got my b16a head back today and noticed that the rockers have been milled where the cam actually rides to open the valves, vtec is hardly noticeable after everything was assembled and the car driven, oil pressure is spot on and the solenoid activates, does the milling of the rocker surfaces affect the movement of the pistons inside the rockers?

i noticed that there is a blank-off next to the exhaust port of cyl 4, it connects with the vtec solenoid, if i connect my air compressor to this blank-off and push around 6bar of air through it, will this activate the system while the motor is not running and i crank it with a wrench? just to check the movement of the rocker pistons...

never ever let anyone touch your vtec's rocker arms, it should be considered a felony and should be punishable by death!
i replaced my rocker arms and vtec kicks in like a b!tch, harder than ever!

so in conclusion, the vtec activation piston inside the rocker arm MUST be aligned for vtec to be activated
