Honda return to F1


good stuff! the words mclaren honda bringing back so many memories for me as a little 8 year old when i started watching f1 :dance:

i just hope there is more freedom with the new regulations regarding engines cause i just think the current engines are a bit held back by all the rules! restricted to 18,000 rpm whats that all bout!?
 
Yeah read this today, great to see Honda back in F1. Hopefully it will improve their current crappy civic. Will be interesting to see what they do wit the Type-r.
 
Great news man, also apparently the type r will defo be 2.0L turbo, close to 300 bhp, 4 wheel steer.. And a clever system that puts toe in on the rear wheels under hard braking to maintain stability

Our cars toe in under hard braking, that's what the rta bush does.
Suppose it will be an electronic system this time round.
Hopefully all this electricary won't take the "feel" out the car.
 
remember the honda v10 f1 engine that revved to 20000 rpm imagine what inside the engine would look like at 20000 rpm scarey
 
hmmm sounds interesting.. and McLaren is a very big team for honda to supply to initially. hopefully they have a reliable engine from the start..

I wonder will there then be a Civic McLaren, or an NSX McLaren, or maybe a McLaren Honda S2000, seeing as there wasnt ever a Type R S2000 :bow:
 
This won't be the first time Honda have supplied engines to mclaren but if will make interesting development for there future road cars.. Jus like the vtec came from an f1 car design :bow:
