Hows it going;
Okay basically I had an engine swap done a few days ago.
Its now a B18c4 engine with 16 VTI running gear etc.

After a few days of it not being started the battery died and me a mate push started it.
everything was grand but ocassionaly the car would spit and jump power on and off.

The next day I was out a drive and stopped to turn the car off for no more than half an hour.
when I went to start the car again it refused.

Its not a battery problem.
but when the key is turned two clicks the lights come on as normal but some are very dim.
when the turn is done to try start the car absolutly nothing happens.
the car doesnt even try to turn over at all.

The only thing i can think of is that its short fusing somewhere or it has immobilized itself.

has Anyoneee had this issue before or can someone point me in the right direction to fixing it.?
Really need help folks.

have you actually tested the battery somewhere/on another vehicle, and what about your alternator? also what about the connections to the fuse box/alternator/starter? have you checked them?

Yeah the battery has been tested and is working fine lad.
yeah those other three things have been tried :(

Edit: sorry.. no the alternator has not been checked. how do I do this? does the car not need to be running?

I had the same problem, it turned out that it was bad connection
from cable on - pole on the battery to the chasiss. Did you check all screws on cables from battery to the chasiss?

sounds like a bad earth or a poor connection. my car done the same but was just due to the battery!?!

buy yourself a new battery...honestly.
Batteries go bad, the more you run them down the more damage you do to them.
If you needed to jump or push start your car to get it going, you may have damaged the alternator in the process.

Get a new battery every 3-5 years is what I say.

might be worth checking the distributor and rotor arm, common problem with those B18 engines.

Thanks for the help folks gonna take another look today and just go over what you have all said.
That battery I have is only 4/5 months old Max. :(
