Right, so I've recently become the proud owner of a Mk3 Civic hatchback, and as detailed in my intro thread I'm looking to make it considerably more... interesting.
Question I've got is, what engine do you guys reckon I should put in it, where is good to look for one and how much do you reckon I should be paying?
I don't mind doing some work on an engine, but a complete rebuild may be a bit much. I'd prefer to find one that's just in good condition.
My initial recce suggests a B-series but I'm not completely sure whether to go for a B18 or a lighter B16. The eventual answer may be "whichever is easier to find" but I'd like to get a good idea of what to look for.
Ideally I guess I'd like a rolling shell with engine, suspension and brakes. We'll see.
Anyway- what engine do you reckon? Lighter weight, or more displacement? Will I need to put the radiator in the boot to get enough airflow over it?
