Just phoned a local body shop and got quoted £120 to get my numberplate reccess, bump strips and grill colour coded SSB. Thats with me taking all the parts off first.

seems awrite would have expected a bit more personally !

id say its a fair price..

when i had a vti i took the bump strips off and sprayed em myself, never done spraying before and it came out mint and a hell of a lot cheaper than gettin a shop to do it.. all you need is a plastic primer, colour and laquer and the confidence to do it :D

yeh thats sounds like a really good price as long as they do a good job!

I was thinking of doing them myself mate but i dont know where to get paint other than halfords ssb spray can but im not sure if that paint is good or not.

Was thinking of chancing my luck and phoning up again to haggle down to like 100 or 90. Started taking of the bump strips today, what a bloody job. As for putting the ****ing door panels back on and getting the sticky **** everywhere ahhhhhh was raging.

Ask to see some examples of previous work

I had a bumper sprayed once and it came out the completely wrong colour, a mate with the same coloured car used a different shop and the difference was night and day! And only a few quid more

If you give them the colour code surely cant go wrong with that.

most spray shops ive been to will put paint in cans for you, just need the paintcode of your car... but like someone said make sure its a spot on match before asking to put it in a can, if your doin it yourself that is

I will just get myself an interest free overdraft from the bank and get souters dad to do the whole car. Only joking I wish. Cant afford debt.

Souters dad painted my old bike when I had it and the job was absolute perfect and he's made a really good job on souters civic so worth tryin to get him to do it like
