Was watching the world news last night on bbc whilst trying to get to sleep and I seen on the scrolling news along the bottom that TAKATA have filed for bankruptcy, not sure what this might mean for the green harnesses we all love but they may be a thing of the past in the future☹

Probably due to the seatbelt issue they had with allot of failed seatbelts/airbags in I think the new toyotas, I forget the real details but I remember them having safety issues, ironically.

Don't worry, there will still be plenty copies floating around lol. I expected this to happen, someone will probably buy the brand and rejuvenate it. They are recalling millions of cars, somewhere I've read it's over 40 million cars in the US alone. That's a massive hit even for a company the size of Takata. "Our" harnesses have always been a little side thing for them, it's the belts and airbags in your daily that have been making them money, and it's what's sending them down now. Not to mention the litigation costs for all the injuries their airbags caused, that will be a hefty settlement as well.
