Genuine or counterfeit s300?

Hi guys so I'm about to buy a Hondata s300 of a lad, just wanted to check with you guys to see if it's a counterfeit or a genuine item. Compared to the picture of the ones on their website, things seem slightly off..

1 - completely different heat sink
2 - no number on the left hand side under the R6 lettering
3 - large gold holes.

So after a discussion about counterfeit and genuine s300s with the seller, he has now refused to sell it to me. lol.

I didn't realise there were counterfeit ones out there! Not overly surprising considering the cost tho. Sounds like you dodged a bullet?

Lol maybe so. Hes now trying to sell it to me. Just dont know weather to chance it or not..

Personally after the doubt and you being unsure, I wouldn't wanna risk it myself. Unless you have confidence in PayPal sorting you out IF it does turn out to be fake, and making sure you don't gift the money etc etc. Still sounds a bit dodgy to me though.

I reckon that is genuine, yes the heatsink is different, but the board looks good.

Can you check the serial number? I'd doubt the fakes are putting new numbers on every board...

Just had an email back from Hondata, they said it seems to be real but cannot guarantee that it is in working order. I think I'll chance it.
