Gearbox help?

Have a b18c4 there,With an s9b box,Which im sure your all aware is so long its unbareable lol..
Looking into shorter ratio but s80s are making big money and theyre 4th and 5th is a bit of a let down IMO..
Just wondering anyone any experience using s4c or y21 1.6 boxes on an 1.8 vti??

i was told that the s4c r4 that came in the ek9 had the best 0-60 times for a honda box, but they aint cheap and hard to find

You could pick up a decent ek9 box for around £350

5th gear is the same on the ek9 s4c and the s9b

Second gear is the worst in the box and coupled with a long final drive that's what's giving the slow acceleration.
Fitting a 1.6 vti box is a good mod but I'd fit an ek9 s4c so you can still have an LSD.
