Gathers Door Speakers

Now then guys, just a quick question here. I was just wondering if the ek9 gathers front door speakers are the same as the ones in the dc2? Reason i ask is because mine have never worked and i thought it was maybe a wiring fault, but i took of the speaker covers off to findout that there was none there , lol, any help appreciated thanks
