Primary fuel filter = on the bottom of the pump in-tank
remove back seat, access panel, positive connection, return then drain lins, unbolt service hatch and lift pump out. Bag-filter is right there on the bottom of the pump with a interference-fit washer holding it on, youll need a pin screwdriver to remove or ideally the mini puller-tool.

Secondary filter doesnt get very dirty in my experience, that is the one everyones referred to in the bonnet.

Just hold a cloth over the filter in the bonnet and also over the feed line (that has plastic clip ontop of fuel pump service hatch) when you remove them as theres always a fair bit of pressure in them still when you undo them. On the one in the bonnet, if your going to undo it make sure you buy two new crush washers from honda for £0.50p each before putting that banjo fitting back on!:nice: ...and Always torque to spec ;)

this link shows you a slideshow of rebuilding my car... youll see detailed shots of changing the fuel pump to a Walbro and changing the bag filter. Hope that helps!

So there's two fuel filters? Which one is it that needs changing at 72k or whatever mileage it is? Both?

I've got one of these:

The one you have in your hand. The bag filter on the intank-pump has a interference fit metal ring that locks it on, it isnt service item as far as im aware although for the filter in the engine bay... you test your fuel pressure and if your getting less than 38psi then you need change this filter. otherwise do it as a service item at the designated mileage.
