Morning all, just want to say a quick hello to fellow Honda owners!
Really looking forward to this Christmas, my slightly tatty looking Jazz will be replaced with a lovely EK4. My Dad bought the car from a long term customer of his (he works at a Honda dealer), the only owner the car has had from new. Must be quite a rarity these days, a completely stock EK4 in immaculate condition with a genuine 30k on the clock, full Honda service history, the lot!
The past few months have been spent stripping the underside of the car down, cleaning it up and undersealing until it looks like it just rolled out the factory. Plans are to be really subtle about modifications, retaining the stock look and only using Genuine Honda parts. I guess its a case of "If Honda made this car again, what bits from other cars would they use to make it better?"
So far, we have made the following mods:
Skimmed, ported and polished B18c Integra Type R cylinder head
EK9 Type R cams
EK9 Type R throttle body
Cold air intake
S9b LSD gearbox
MFactory Short shifter
Some light work will be done on the ECU using Crome and K20a EP3 injectors will be fitted to whack some more fuel in. Finally, a stock EK9 Type R exhaust system will be fitted.
The brakes have been upgraded too, along with a set of Eibach progressive springs, though the front was sitting far too low for my liking, so the stock front suspension has been put back on for the time being.
In keeping with the Genuine Honda theme, I'm currently searching for various interior parts from the EK9 and whatever DC2 parts will fit. Im fair into my mountain biking, so I've just purchased Honda roof bars and bike rack to finish the exterior.
Absoultely cannot wait to start driving it, it'll only be my second car and I couldnt have got anything better!
Will get some photos very very shortly folks!
