fog light question.

hello guys!
I am new here, and also I recently picked up EK9 hatch 2 days ago.
I am loving it so far.

I have a little question though.
Do you need to drill or cut the bumper to install OEM fogs (the one with plastic trim, my hatch is MY00)??
The previous owner installed OEM fogs on the bumper, and I want to get rid of it.
If the bumper is modified then I gotta bring my car to the bodyshop I guess.

if its 2000 model im not 100% sure but i think they jus screw into the bumper...mines a 97 model i no for sure all that has 2 be done is a piece of plastic has 2 be cut out of the big lower vent in the bumper...but the facelift model im not sure could be jus screwed in

I just took the bumper out, and found out the bumper was cut to fit oem fog lights.
I guess I have to keep the fog lights on, unless I get a new bumper.
