Background
For sale is a 2003 mk1 Focus RS with circa 89k on it with 10m MOT and 5m tax based in Aberdeen. I took the car in as a part exchange in spring 2012 and have only covered around 2k miles since.

I’m looking to move back into a naturally aspirated car such as a Honda (Type R or S2000) or a BMW M car so would be interested in deals with a fitting car cash either way.

Interior
Interior is clean, I wet vac'd the entire inside and changed the seat to ensure there was minimal bolster wear. The only outstanding item to be done inside is to refurbish the steering wheel. I have the paint to do it I've just not got round to it yet!

Mechanicals
The mechanicals are in good working order. It has FSH up to approximately 70k then was self serviced from then on. I've got some receipts etc from previous owners. In the past 6m (about 2000 miles) I've done a full oil change, changed the front break pads and done the belts et al. The belts are due at 100k or 10 years so this has been done early just in case. I also replaced the power steering belt while it was off. The charge cooler pump works perfectly, which is an area to watch for on these.

Additionally I changed the thermostat housing for brand new items. This is a weak point so again this was preventative work. As a result the coolant had been changed recently as well.

Bodywork
The bodywork I would say is average, 90% of it is great as I machine polished it over summer (I've got pictures I can send showing the results) this has eliminated most imperfections. I also coated the car in 2 layers of Collinite wax that is incredibly hard wearing.

There are two spots on the arches I was planning on resolving next year which are where corrosion has started. A few bubbles on the paint evidence this. Again I have pictures. There are the usual stone chips on the front which I was going to rectify at the same time as the arches. There is one small ding on the boot lid but I hadn't decided if I was going to correct it yet.

The wheels were refurbished in anthracite in April 2012 and are still in mint condition. The front tyres are Kuhmos with plenty of tread, the rears are a lesser known brand but again with good tread.

Modifications
In terms of modifications the car has a full scorpion exhaust system with decat and a blue fin chip. This combination should see power in the region of 260-275bhp based on similar cars that have been dyno’d.

If you have any questions feel free to get in touch.

Thanks,
Wayne

Hi mate,

Yea it's a great car, very fast compared to the EK9! Looking to get back into NA as boost isn't really my cup of tea to be honest. Would take a nice Type R in PX if anyone was interested.

Cheers,
Wayne

Hi mate,

I would potentially be interested in an EP3, do you have an advert or details you can send through?

I'm assuming its the black one from your recent posts which looks nice and mint.

Cheers,
Wayne

Yes that's the one mate. Check it out and let me know?
