due to the bad weather here the last days i wasn't able to get to the nürburgring on the eastern holiday.
anyway, i made a soundvideo here, I love my system :D

please also note that you can't hear it in the video, but when you push the gas-get off it-push it again (throttle full closed and re-opened) you get a nice bang out of the back :D

really great, but way too loud for getting it street legal here.

the project will go on :D

the bang noise you are refering about is prob the decat (providing you have one) :)
Your battery does sound a bit flat when starting up, but with this aside, your exhaust sounds awesome! Not too loud with a nice note.

yeah the car was long time unused before now, so battery is really crappy!! will be a new one, next time I'll use the car for longer time!

I don't have a decat! my setup now is:

Toda 4-2-1 Header, Sard 200 Cell racing cat and a Tanabe G Fordan Catback system (modified EK4 system)
 
The popping will def be from the exahust and manifold. When you replace the stock breathing pipes, with an aftermarket perfomance one, popping noises occur.
Loving the build anyway m8.

and yeah. i need to mount some silencers for getting this setup street legal, but it's allready ordered ande hopefully it will be enough silent then!

hey guys!

so it's time for a little update again!

at a weekend a few weeks ago we measured over 93 dB on our exhaust system at full power, i believe it's even louder when the exhaust is really hot.
now the problem is i can only get the car street legal (homologated) when the car is not louder than 74dB that is almost around standard noise. this level is only needed for getting the documents for the car. once i have this i can get my car registered even louder. that's because i have the first EK9 in switzerland and is the measurement usually the main importeur will do for the persons... i'ts a bit complicated to explain swiss car-law, but in anyway i need to get my car down to 74dB in the beginning. so i bought those here:

1) 4x Suganuma Future creation Japan inner silencer (universal)

2) 1x Kakimoto racing universel muffler tip silencer

as i believe this is performance-related really crappy parts because the whole 60mm piping will be reduced to the smaller holes in the silencers but this will only be mounted for getting my documents. once i have this i will remove as much as possible. maybe i will leave the tip-silencer inside because it's really, really loud for a little turn :D but on track etc there will surely be no silencers mounted.

anyway. next things to do will be getting the car street legal (goal is to have the number plates in August 2008!!) and of course next big issue will be the suspension setup. im thinking about a tein flex or something like that, because this one is allready avialeble with legal documents here in switzerland for EK civics.. we'll see - I'll keep you up2date!!

=> sadly it was without the "signal" logo on their homepage, no i got one with the logo but doesn't really matter.

Suganuma Future creation Japan inner silencer

im very interested this, does it just slot into end of exhaust pipe andthen just bolt up exhaust ? i need something to reduce noise on my exhaust so this looks good but looks restrictive

what size piping is it good for ?

it's avialeble in different piping sizes and reduces the inner diameter much, but it's also a power-killer!
also the effect wasn't really big and due to the almost 1cm big thing between the two flanges also the tip will come out more from the rear bumper. sorry for my bad english :)
send me PM if you're interrested, but i now will make a radical method, filling the whole pipe with that type of metal-sponge. this has biggest effect for noise reducing, is not visible from outside and can easily be removed after legalisation is done! in about two or three weeks i will have two new and two used ones (only for testing purpose) for sale if you're still interrested, please send me a PM!

as Promised, another update today: THe Okuyama Carbing three point Strut bar arrived here today, it's the best one i've ever seen!!! will be mounted asap. and you'll get the update with pictures :p
