B18c-r quick realiable , and I found it just the same in fuel compared to my previous cars, b16b/a2 ect. I found Better response lower Down the rev range compared to b16.
There's a lot of people thinking the b20 is a great a great engine bla bla bla!!! I feel honda made them non vtec for a reason, they can't rev as high as the other b series, they are also really unrealable.
As performance goes the b20 and b18 are evenly matched. I was a nose in front of my mates. His main problem was the low rev limiter.

B18C-R, I have one in my EJ9, used to have a B16A2 in it and my god isit another level, more torque, VTEC crossover, top end etc, and just a better overall package, also its more economical than my D14 and B16 was, so my vote goes to the B18C-R.
