Long time since I last posted but been pretty busy with little time for cars.

But looking for a bit of advice... I've had a rattle at 1.5k revs for a while which I've put down to my aging Fujitsubo Legalis R which also a bit crap sounding at city speeds hasn't been much of an issue. But the other night I took the car up to vtec and from ~5k upwards was met with the most annoying buzzy exhaust note (think angry wasp crossed with a moped) I've not had a chance to get the car on ramps but does anyone have any suggestions? Is it the baffles finally giving out? A leak? The cat? Help would be great thanks!

that happen to mine when i put my spoon n1, 1 reason is not put on properly or not straight, did u make sure u put it properly?

check that the heat shields are not touching the exhaust pipes under the car.

On my 99 teg around 2k revs there was an unmerciful rattle proper loud. I checked it out and turned out to me the bracket holding the manifold to the car, the obe nearest the cat? Had cracked. The noise was coming from what was left on the bracket and the weld on the manifold. A nice big weld did the trick never gave an trouble then.

The exhaust was on the car when I bought it. From the paperwork that came with it it's getting on for 12 years old! Hopefully I'll try and get it up on the ramps and check all the shields, though my fear is the baffles have burn through :/

I had a horrible rattle that turned out to be the heat shield by the cat. Really didn't sound like it was that but I took it off and problem solved
