i just fitted an exeedy stage 1 racing clutch and a fidanza lightend flywheel and when im taking off theres a bad vibration and when im slowing down 4th gear in2 3rd and from 3rd gear in2 2nd it vibrates?? is it just bedding in or is this a problem? i know a lad who fitted an exeedy in2 his evo 5 and had similar problems.. any1 have any ideas?

seems to be a common problem . some folk have no issues with this and others it seems to be really bad . guess its just your luck . might bed in a bit i would leave it and see in a 1000 miles what its like

Are you giving to the whole new kit a proper break in?
Clutches need break in period. You know what I mean, don't go hard for some of the first thousands miles.

I have exedy stage 1 too, and all ok.

In cable transmissions, if cable is not set up properly, it is normal to feel some vibrations when launching from 1st, for example.
But yours is not cable one... and your problem is not launching from 1st.

And if clutch was not aligned when fitted, you would expect vibrations all the time (and some nice damage).

This is not a good sign. Have the shop look into the issue ASAP. 8K RPM engine needs to have a balanced flywheel, right?

thanks lads i mite rip it off again.. ive 2 go up to honda heaven 2moro and there serious with vtecs so ill wat they say

Yes, tama is right.

Could be bad balanced flywheel. But... usually, fidanza flywheels are correctly balanced (less fake ones...).

On the other hand, unbalanced flywheel would cause vibrations. But the more revs engine would take, the more vibrations could be felt.

Yes, better check it and you will find the problem. Luck with it! :nice:

(excuse me for my English, sometimes I write it wrong)
