hey, had exedy stage 1 clutch and lightened flywheel bout 1500 miles ago and i seem to get i kind of whiring slipping sound when pulling of on a hill even a slight hill! also happens in reverse when reversing up a slope! why does it do this? is it normall? surely it cant be! its well annoying :angry2:

please help cheers

sometimes it can feel lik that yes! but i aint completly sure as i cant rely remember how the stock clutch was! i thought that a stage 1 clutch should engage prety firmly and pull hard! sometimes you can hardly feel the biteing point, seems quite soft if you no what i mean!

cheers

check for leaks on the master cylinder. You may have to peel back the carpet and you might notice the firewall all wet. If it is, time to replace it.

If you do replace it, replace both the master and slave (found on the transmission) in a pair. If you don't...what usually happens is the pressure from one unit will cause the other unit to fail down the road....usually leaving you stranded on the road...:angry2:

Check the fluid level of your clutch fluid reservoir. If it's dark and murky or low, just have it bled and new (brake) fluid put in. That should give a much better feel. Down the road, you may consider a stainless steel clutch line hose too.
