Ernies Rotrex K20 Build

Fantastic build man, love black hondas!

Thinking about K20'ing an em1 shell i have lying around! Would €3000 have me sorted dya think? Cheers

If your doing it yourself you could maybe do it for 3k... depends if you get the swap cheap.

Took passenger seat and rear seats out ready for trackday so decided to remove the sound proofing from the boot area and under the back seat.. this left abit of a mess so gave it a coat of paint to tidy it up.

Thanks guys.. I'm picking up parts to complete the Rotrex fitment bit by bit so it wont be happening straight away..

The charger is a C30-94 good for upto 400bhp.. it came with 2 pulleys.. 85mm and 120mm, after using the calculator on the Rotrex site.. I worked out if I run the 120mm pulley combined with a larger K24 crank pulley revving to 8500rpm I will be just at the sweet spot on the charger without over spinning it.

So I picked up a K24 crank pulley off a local lad along with some DPI 1200cc injectors he had.. abit over kill for my setup but wont do any harm.

Other bits I still need -

TTS Bottom mount bracket
Rotrex Oil System (resovoir, cooler, filter, oil and lines)
Intercooler + pipework and Intake.
BOV
Map Sensor
Fuel pump
Belt

1200cc Donkey Power Injectors and bigger K24 crank pulley..

and another shot of the C30.. jus cos I like looking at it.. :)

Brilliant choice!! Looking forward to seeing this progress :nice:

Are you sticking with standard internals and what power output are you aiming for? I have been told that 350bhp is nice and safe to abuse on the track with standard internals, obviously when mapped correctly and with the right supporting mods

Yes I intend to stay stock block.. with the K24 crank pulley and a 120mm charger pulley The charger will be at max boost at 8500rpm.. so it should be between 350-400 depending on how good my intercooler and pipework setup is.. (c30 genrally good for 14-16psi from what I understand) I intend to run a water/meth injection setup to aid cooling. A custom size rad will need to be made as I wont be able to stay with a full width item like I have now...

Trackday at Cadwell on Thurs so bit of prep.. fresh 10w50 and set of plugs... washed and polished.

few more bits to do tomorrow before loading it up!

Love the wheel set up! Thinking of something similar on my SiR

So I didnt make the trackday on the 2nd.. so booked another for next week.

I decided to remove the Tegiwa swap header as it has slip joints that keep blowing.. so I've fitted a K-Tuned version now and finally got the 3" system fitted a mention a while back.. backbox is hidden on this system which I like..

I also finally piped up the brake ducts I fitted in my bumper... running the pipe from the duct to the inner arch liner...

Test fitted my lads TE37's on...

This thing is ultimately badass! Good read! Full set of TE37's would complete this!

Where did you get the F7 lcas and tie bar do you mind me asking? currently looking for these
