Ep3 idle issue

A mate of mine bought an ep3 last week. All sweet until last night he went to start it, idles fine minute he tries to give it some gas it cuts out. Revs drop and cuts out.

He is running a kpro, full exhaust + manifold, roc and 70mm tb.
There is no engine check light coming on.

I'm assuming is either map sensor or tps sensor. Correct me if I'm wrong wouldn't an engine management light come on if it was.

Any vacuum leaks or anything?

Had a issue the same it did have a fault tps low input

Had a small split on a vacuum pipe that I changed for him, iacv was also cleaned, idles fine. How can I check the tps if it's messed up through his kpro?

If you unplug the tps as the car is running will the car cut out
